to the club for an afternoon of fishing, and the trout club did not disappoint.
Hooked up with a guest, who I hope will become a member, at the Black Hole, where we proceeded to hook some real beauties, including the one pictured.
Though the creek is still kinda “low” the fish are in great shape, cooperative, and plentiful. Fish small flies and light lines. The creek will do the rest.
and then Joe, Steve, and I fished the creek.
The pics below show some of the fish we caught. The Black Hole is full of fish, and none of these were stocked this year. All summer holdovers. We went the whole way down, picking off fish in every stop we made. The Honey Hole is where we finished up, and Joe got this holdover tiger there.

Started out with 11 at the corner pocket. Added another 15-16 more before the day was done.
The story of the day…..hit the lower quad and hooked the palomino. Had trouble getting line through the guides and lost him. But, on the next cast I picked this beauty up. He got me stuck under the dam, so I had to roll up the sleeves and pull the line out by hand to dislodge the fish. After he swam out I got this pick. Caught 2 others at/near 20 and ended the day with a 24 incher at the pavilion hole. Picked up the brown right before the 24 incher.
Banner day! My best ever at the club in the month of October.
water perfect at 16, not a lot of fish. Hooked 4 on Monday.
Tues, I hit NY and picked up 1. Again, not a lot of fish there either.
